GLUTEN ALLERGIES

Many restaurants offer gluten-free items or a Celiac menu, however, we always encourage travelers with gluten sensitivities to advise their servers so they can provide them with suitable options. When booking with Tenon Tours, please let your Travel Specialist know about any gluten-related allergies as we are more than happy to assist and let all of your accommodations know ahead of time.

TRAVELING WITH MEDICATIONS

If you are traveling with insulin or other important medications, be sure to pack them away in a safe space in your carry-on bag. You never want to pack any medications in checked luggage in case of lost baggage. Be sure to take enough for your trip and extra if you are able. If you need to get an emergency medication or refill a prescription while abroad, visit the local pharmacist or hospital for assistance.

SERVICE ANIMALS

If you are traveling with a service animal, please notify both your airline as well as your Travel Specialist. Some international airports, such as Dublin, have stations of fake grass and fire hydrants specifically for service animals.

FOOD AND OTHER ALLERGIES

If you’re traveling with any kind of allergy, we recommend the following:

    1. Always carry your EpiPen.
    2. Contact your allergist for a note to provide the airlines to not distribute nuts, peanuts or specific foods you may be allergic to.
    3. If you book your accommodations through Tenon Tours, we will notify them of any allergies as long as you let us know in advance. You can also ask to speak to any hotel manager or managers involved with food preparation so they are aware.

MOBILITY

If you use a cane, wheelchair, or motorized scooter, please notify your Travel Specialist so they can place you in appropriate accommodations and day tours that have minimal walking or mobility assistance. We also want to ensure your driver or rental vehicle has enough space to store any necessary equipment.

ACCOMMODATIONS

If you require specific accommodation requests, such as a king-sized bed, please let your Travel Specialist know. We cannot guarantee rooms or bed sizes due to seasonality and availability, but we will do our best when given advance notice.
