COVID-19 Entry Requirements

We encourage you to understand the specific country requirements for your destination before you travel.

 

France: France no longer has testing or vaccine requirements for US travelers. Learn more.

Germany: US travelers are no longer required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative COVID-19 test result to enter Germany unless they are entering from an RKI-designated virus variant area. Learn more.

Greece: US travelers are permitted to enter Greece without proof of a negative COVID test. However, visitors entering by air, land, or sea may be subject to random tests upon arrival. In the event of a positive result, they will be contacted and placed on a minimum 5-day quarantine, beginning with the next day of the positive test result. Learn more.

Iceland: Iceland is fully open to US travelers regardless of vaccination status. No testing or quarantine restrictions. Learn more.

Ireland: All COVID-19 travel restrictions are removed. You no longer need to complete a passenger locator form. You also no longer need proof of vaccination or recovery or a COVID-19 test.  Learn more.

Italy: Italy is fully open to US travelers regardless of vaccination status or proof of negative COVID tests. Please note that regional governments in Italy may impose restrictions on travelers from certain foreign countries, and travelers intending to travel or return to Italy are advised to check whether any new provisions have been introduced by their region of destination. Portugal: A negative COVID 19 test, certificate of vaccination, or a certificate of recovery is no longer required in airports, borders, air and sea travel. However, private carries may have different rules. We recommend all US citizens to contact the airline/cruise company for additional travel information before boarding.  Learn more.

    Spain: US citizens can travel from the United States to Spain if they show that they are vaccinated against COVID-19, have a recovery certificate, or show a negative diagnostic test result  (NAAT or RAT) performed either within 72hours prior to departure to Spain for a NAAT (e.g. – PCR test) or within 24 hours prior to departure to Spain for a RAT (e.g. – rapid antigen test). Learn more.

    Switzerland: There are currently no entry restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No proof of vaccination, recovery, or testing is required for entry into Switzerland. Learn more.
